Naples National Archaeological Museum Private Tour
At 10 am, we'll meet outside the National Archaeological Museum, a significant institution in Naples. Accompanied by the guide, we'll enter this 16th-century building to start the tour of its extensive collection of artefacts.
For an hour and a half, we'll explore the museum's rooms across four floors. We'll first visit the Farnese collection to view its many sculptures of the ancient Roman Empire. We'll discuss the beliefs of this civilization and provide facts about the artworks.
Next, we'll enter the rooms dedicated to Pompeii and Herculaneum. Through a large collection of mosaics, papyrus, and everyday utensils, we'll uncover how people lived in these cities before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
Artifacts such as vases, jewellery, and treasures from ancient Greece, along with coins and items from ancient Egypt, will also be displayed in the museum.
After spending between 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours on the guided tour, we will conclude. You may then stay in the museum to further explore its rooms at your leisure.
