Tour Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of the Teatro Mercadante to distribute tickets before heading down to the subway that will take us through the stops of the revolutionary Neapolitan metro.
We will first visit the station designed by Àlvaro Siza and Eduardo Souto de Moura, which features archaeological remains from the ancient port of Neapolis discovered during construction. Here, we will view the Passaggi projection and works by Mimmo Jodice, showcasing a blend of modernity and antiquity.
Next, we will take the subway to explore four of the most important stations of the city's metro network while discussing urban redevelopment and nearby monuments.
Stations include the Toledo stop, known for its mosaics reminiscent of the sea; the Università stop, which symbolizes language in the digital age with its colourful futuristic installations; and the Dante stop, notable for the passage of Dante Alighieri's Convivio in white neon, a popular photo spot.
After 2 hours of exploring the wonders of the Naples metro, we will conclude at one of the stations, allowing you to use your 24-hour ticket to continue exploring at your leisure.
