On this tour of the Naples metro, we'll visit art-filled stations and see works by internationally renowned artists.
Tour Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of the Teatro Mercadante to distribute tickets before descending to board the train, which will take us through the stops of the Neapolitan metro.
First, we'll explore the first station designed by Àlvaro Siza and Eduardo Souto de Moura, featuring archaeological remains from the ancient port of Neapolis. Here, we'll see the Passaggi projection and works by Mimmo Jodice, showcasing a blend of modernity and antiquity.
Next, we'll take the subway to explore four significant stations of the city's metro network while discussing the urban redevelopment of Naples and nearby monuments.
We may visit the Toledo stop, known for its sea-inspired mosaics, the Università stop, which represents language in the digital age with futuristic installations, or the Dante stop, notable for its neon passage from Dante Alighieri's Convivio, one of the most photographed works on the line.
After 2 hours of exploring the wonders of the Naples metro, we'll conclude at one of its stations; however, your 24-hour ticket allows you to continue exploring the rest of the network.
