Join us in the Rione Sanità neighbourhood to explore Neapolitan baroque and experience the local cuisine.
Tour Description
We meet at Via Porta San Gennaro, the entrance to Rione Sanità. Prepare to navigate the narrow streets of this historic area.
During the walk, observe the murals of Totò and Maradona and various historic buildings, including Palazzo Sanfelice and Palazzo dello Spagnolo, notable examples of Neapolitan baroque.
We will discuss the efforts of the neighbourhood's social cooperative focusing on recovery and renovation, while strolling through the Alley of Culture, filled with street art.
We will also view the Figlio Velato sculpture in the Basilica di San Severo Fuori le Mura and the crib in the Basilica di Santa Maria della Sanità, symbols of hope and integration.
During the tour, enjoy fried pizza, a local delicacy, along with a dessert and coffee from a well-known pastry shop.
The tour concludes after 2 hours at the starting location.
