Skip the lines to visit one of the most outstanding archaeological sites in Italy and walk around the volcano that buried it, on this excursion to Vesuvius and Herculaneum from Naples.

Vesuvius & Herculaneum Excursion

We'll meet at 9:30 am at Piazza Garibaldi, where we'll board a bus to leave Naples and travel to Herculaneum, an ancient Roman city known for its wealth and cultural heritage.

Upon arrival, we'll provide a skip-the-line ticket to the site, allowing you to explore at your leisure. Important monuments include the House of the Deer, the Forum Baths, and the House of Neptune and Amphitrite, known for its colorful mosaics.

After three hours at Herculaneum, we'll head towards Mount Vesuvius, enjoying the Gulf of Naples scenery on the way.

Once we arrive, we'll ascend to an altitude of 1,000 meters. You will proceed on foot to the crater of Vesuvius, appreciating views of the Bay of Naples.

You will observe the volcano's slopes formed by solidified lava flows and learn about the eruption that buried Herculaneum and Pompeii in 79 AD.

After visiting Vesuvius, we will return to Naples and drop you off at the starting point around 4:30 pm.
