Skip the lines to visit one of the most significant archaeological sites in Italy and explore the volcano that buried it on this excursion to Vesuvius and Herculaneum from Naples.

Vesuvius & Herculaneum Excursion

We will meet at 9:30 am at Piazza Garibaldi and board a bus to Herculaneum, an ancient Roman city richer in heritage than Pompeii.

Upon arrival, a skip-the-line ticket to the site will be provided, allowing time to explore at your leisure. Key monuments include the House of the Deer, the Forum Baths, and the House of Neptune and Amphitrite adorned with colorful mosaics.

After three hours at Herculaneum, we will proceed to Mount Vesuvius while enjoying the scenery of the Gulf of Naples.

Upon arrival, we will ascend to 1,000 meters, where you can walk the path to the crater of Vesuvius, overlooking the Bay of Naples.

Admire the volcano's slopes shaped by solidified lava flows and learn about the eruption that destroyed Herculaneum and Pompeii in 79 AD.

After visiting Vesuvius, we will return to Naples, dropping you off at the starting point around 4:30 pm.
