At 9 am we'll pick you up from your hotel in Negombo and head to the city of Colombo, located 40 minutes away on the west coast of Sri Lanka.
The first stop will be Beira Lake, visiting the Gangarama Temple, which houses the smallest Buddha statue in the world. We will also explore the Sri Kailawasanathan Devasthanam Swami Kovil, known as the Hindu Temple of Colombo, notable for its striking sculptures.
The tour will proceed to Independence Square, where we will see the monument commemorating Sri Lanka's independence from the British Empire in 1948. Nearby stands the Colombo Lotus Tower, a 350-meter tall telecommunications structure.
Next, we will visit the Aukana Buddha Statue replica, the tallest Buddha in the country, and learn about its historical significance. The tour will conclude with a brief walk through the bazaars.
The tour will return to your hotel in Negombo by 3 pm.
