At 7 am we'll pick you up from your hotel in Negombo and head to Galle. First, we'll visit the famous Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by the Portuguese in the 16th century to protect an important port.
The excursion will continue to Galle's southern beaches, where we'll visit a turtle farm and nearby coves where locals practice stilt fishing, a unique technique originating from this region.
After an hour of free time for lunch, we'll visit the Tsunami Museum to learn about the 2004 tidal wave that devastated the coast, inspiring films like The Impossible.
Our final stops will include a herb garden and the Moonstone Mine, which is said to contain stones from the moon.
The tour will conclude with a return to your hotel in Negombo, arriving at 7 pm.
