Description

Our journey will commence at the La Gaitana Monument in Neiva at the predetermined time, where participants will gather for a brief overview of our abseiling adventure in Palermo complimented by a cup of coffee. Once introductions are complete, we will board a vehicle that will take us to Palermo, where a traditional Colombian breakfast awaits us.

The precise site for our abseiling activity will be determined based on the day's weather conditions. Our guide will select from two potential locations on the day of the experience.

Cañón de los Ídolos (Canyon of the Idols)

Following breakfast, we will start our trek towards the Cañón de los Ídolos. Our initial stop will be the Simio swimming pool, where we’ll refresh ourselves and delve into the indigenous legends associated with the region. Afterward, we will proceed to the canyon's depths, known as the Boquerón de los Ídolos.

Once we arrive, we will equip ourselves and begin the descent down the Frying Pan Stone. Fun fact: this site was once a place for ritualistic sacrifices. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a meal, don our lifejackets, and head downstream to the unique Stone Island!

After exploring the natural beauty, we’ll return to Palermo and then back to Neiva, concluding our journey approximately 11 hours after we set out.

Cascadas del Fraile (Fraile Waterfalls)

This excursion to the Fraile Waterfalls begins with a trip through San Luis and Vereda Alto Paraguay, on a picturesque 1.5-hour nature trail dotted with charming towns. Prepare to be enchanted!

Upon reaching the waterfall entrance, we will embark on a 2.5-hour hike through a circuit featuring 5 waterfalls and natural pools, pausing at each stop to take a dip in their crystal-clear waters. A local lunch will follow as we recharge for the next leg of our adventure.

Post-lunch, we will head to the designated site for abseiling at the Fraile Waterfalls and prepare our gear for the descent. Get ready! As we navigate through this adventure, the adrenaline will surge as we soak in the stunning scenery.

Once our descent is completed, we’ll make our way back to Palermo, and subsequently return to Neiva. We will conclude our activity back at the starting location after approximately 11 hours together.
