Looking for an adrenaline rush in Palermo? Then this waterfall and canyon abseiling activity is perfect for you. Delve into the stunning nature of the region!

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the La Gaitana Monument in Neiva to begin our abseiling activity in Palermo. We'll start with coffee and an introduction to the activity, followed by transportation to the town of Palermo for a Colombian-style breakfast.

The starting location for the abseiling depends on the weather, with two possible sites chosen by the guide on the day of the activity.

Cañón de los Ídolos (Canyon of the Idols)

After breakfast, we'll hike towards Cañón de los Ídolos, making a stop at the Simio swimming pool to learn about the aboriginal legends. We’ll reach the deepest part of the canyon, Boquerón de los Ídolos, set up our equipment, and begin our descent down the Frying Pan Stone. After a lunch break, we’ll put on lifejackets and head down the river to Stone Island.

When the tour concludes, we will return to Palermo and then to Neiva, finishing the day after about 11 hours together.

Cascadas del Fraile (Fraile Waterfalls)

This excursion towards the Fraile Waterfalls starts along the route through San Luis and Vereda Alto Paraguay, featuring a 1.5-hour trail. At the waterfall's entrance, we’ll embark on a 2.5-hour hike to explore a circuit of 5 waterfalls and natural swimming pools, stopping to swim in the crystal-clear waters.

After lunch, we’ll proceed to the area chosen for abseiling at the Fraile Waterfalls, setting up our equipment for the descent. Afterward, we’ll return to Palermo and then Neiva, completing the activity after 11 hours together.
