If you're passionate about paleontology and history, this tour of the Tatacoa Natural History Museum is perfect for you. Plus, you'll take part in a fun fossil workshop!

Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and begin this day in the Tatacoa Desert, the second driest region in Colombia.

First, we'll visit the village of La Victoria, where we'll participate in a fossil workshop led by locals who work to protect the paleontological heritage of the area.

During the workshop, we'll learn how to identify fossils, the different types of fossilization, how to extract them from the ground using a technique called enchaquetada, and how to protect them for further study.

After this experience, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch. After lunch, we'll head to the Tatacoa Natural History Museum.

During our guided tour of the museum, we'll have the chance to see some fossil collections discovered in this major paleontological site. You'll be impressed!

Finally, we'll return to the starting point, wrapping up the activity between 10 and 12 hours after it began.
