First, we'll visit the village of La Victoria, where we'll participate in a fossil workshop led by local youth dedicated to protecting the paleontological heritage of the area.
During the workshop, we'll learn to identify fossils, the different types of fossilization, extraction techniques such as enchaquetada ("jacketed extraction"), and how to preserve them for study.
After this experience, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch. Next, we'll visit the Tatacoa Natural History Museum.
