Frigiliana is a notable town in Spain, accessible through a small group day trip from Nerja.
Tour Details
The tour begins with hotel pickup in Nerja, followed by a 20-minute drive to Frigiliana, located in the Axarquía region of Malaga. This town is part of the ‘Association of the Prettiest Towns in Spain.’ A guided walk through the old town center will highlight its historical significance, particularly the Mudejar neighborhood, showcasing architectural remnants from the Muslim period after the Christian reconquest.
During the tour, visitors will explore narrow lanes with whitewashed buildings and see significant monuments such as the Renaissance Palace of Condes (“El Ingenio”) and the Baroque church of San Antonio, dating back to the 17th century. After the guided tour, participants will have free time for self-exploration.
The next stop is El Acebuchal, situated 5 miles north of Frigiliana. Once abandoned due to conflict in 1948, it has been restored since 1998. A local lunch at a popular restaurant is included, featuring a starter (salad or soup) and a main course that varies daily. After lunch, the group will return to their hotel.
Hotel Pickup
Hotel pickup is included, but some accommodations may have limited access. In such cases, a nearby meeting point will be provided after booking.
