Discover the history of New York's Financial District by joining us on this walking tour of Wall Street and the World Trade Center. We'll see the Stock Exchange building, the famous Wall Street bull and the 9/11 Memorial.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at St Paul's Chapel, on 209 Broadway, and set off on this tour of some of the most important monuments in the city that never sleeps.
We'll begin our tour walking around the financial area of Wall Street. Follow your expert guide and learn about historic buildings on this legendary street, like the Federal Hall, where George Washington was sworn first President of the United States in 1789.
Of course, we'll also pass by the New York Stock Exchange, the largest stock exchange in the world, and learn about its history, which dates back to the 18th century.
Our tour will also take us past iconic statues in Lower Manhattan such as the Double Check, Charging Bull, and Fearless Girl.
As we continue on, our guide will reveal how New York was founded by Dutch settlers who purchased Manhattan in the 17th century. Then, we'll head to the World Trade Center, marked by two fountains located where the Twin Towers once stood, commemorating the victims of the September 11 attacks of 2001.
This walking tour will conclude after 2.5 hours, providing a deeper insight into New York's financial area and its history. We recommend continuing to explore the World Trade Center at your own pace afterward.
