Wicked: The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz opened on Broadway in October 2003, winning three Tony Awards and six Drama Desk Awards and a Grammy Award for its original cast album. It has captivated millions with its exceptional production design.

Storyline
Based on the novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire, the musical narrates the story of Elphaba Thropp, who is born with emerald green skin, and her friendship with Glinda, which evolves until Elphaba becomes the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch.
Availability
Wicked performs eight times a week at the largest Broadway theatre, and tickets sell out quickly, so early booking is recommended.
Seating
The theater assigns the best available seats together at the time of purchase. Early reservations provide better seating options. Tickets are available in the Mid Side Orchestra area.
The Orchestra area is closest to the stage, providing a direct view of the show. The Mid Side seats are located in the central or side parts of this area.
Gershwin Theatre
The Gershwin Theatre, host to Wicked the Musical, is the largest Broadway theatre with a seating capacity of 1,933. It opened in 1972 as the Uris Theatre and was renamed Gershwin in 1983 in honor of composer George Gershwin.
