Port Stephens Day Trip from Newcastle
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Newcastle and set off on an hour-long road trip into the Australian wilderness. First, we’ll hike at the base of Tomaree Mountain, climbing the 161-meter (528-foot) peak for panoramic views of the coastline, including landmarks like Yacaaba Head, Cabbage Tree, Boondelbah Islands, and Point Stephens Lighthouse. After approximately an hour and a half of hiking, you will have some free time for lunch at a nearby local restaurant. Following lunch, we’ll embark on a 2.5-hour marine wildlife-watching cruise through Port Stephens, aiming to spot bottle-nosed dolphins against the beautiful coastline.
Our day concludes at the lookout point of the largest moving coastal dunes in the Southern Hemisphere, an opportunity for memorable photos. After 9 hours of exploration, we'll drop you off at your hotel.
Dolphin Sightings
Dolphins are unpredictable creatures; sightings cannot be guaranteed and depend on various natural conditions.
