Discover the stunning natural beauty of Senegal's Saloum Delta with our tour from Saly. Enjoy a motorized canoe ride along the water, spotting a variety of birds inhabiting the area.
Saloum Delta Private Tour
We will collect you from your hotel in Saly and head towards the Saloum Delta National Park. After approximately an hour and a half of travel, we will arrive at the traditional fishing village of Ndangane. Here, we will board a motorized canoe to explore the UNESCO-recognized World Heritage Site.
We will navigate the calm waters of the Sine and Saloum rivers that feed the Delta. Along the journey, observe salt marshes, canals, and mangrove swamps. If fortunate, we may spot pelicans, herons, cormorants, and kingfishers.
Next, we will stop at a restaurant in the park area, allowing you time to enjoy a traditional meal (not included). Afterward, we will visit a tribal village inhabited by the Niominka people, who rely on fishing for their livelihood.
After learning about the customs of the Niominka, we will begin our return journey to Saly.
