Discover the natural beauty of Senegal's Saloum Delta on this tour from Saly, which includes a motorized canoe ride to observe a variety of local bird species.

Saloum Delta Private Tour

Pick-up will be from your hotel in Saly, followed by a journey south towards Saloum Delta National Park. After approximately one and a half hours, you will arrive at the traditional fishing village of Ndangane. Here, you will board a motorized canoe that will take you into the UNESCO recognized protected wilderness area.

During the canoe ride along the Sine and Saloum rivers, you will see salt marshes, canals, and mangrove swamps. There is a chance to spot birds such as pelicans, herons, cormorants, and kingfishers.

Following the canoe ride, you will have time to enjoy a traditional meal at a restaurant in the parkland area (meal not included). Afterwards, the tour will continue with a visit to a tribal village inhabited by the Niominka people, who rely on fishing for their livelihood.

After learning about their traditions and customs, the tour will conclude with a return journey to Saly.
