Activity Overview

At your designated time, we will gather at San José Beach, where a brief instructional session on kayak safety and handling will be provided. This session includes practice time on the shore, ensuring you feel confident before we embark on this exciting journey.

Following our preparation, we will commence our kayak expedition in Cabo de Gata. As we venture eastward, you will witness the charming seaside villages and magnificent cliffs of Cabo de Gata from an entirely different viewpoint, a sight that is sure to capture your admiration!

When we reach the midpoint, and if the ocean conditions are favorable, we will pause our kayaking to dive into the water and enjoy snorkeling. This break presents a wonderful chance to uncover the diverse marine life situated beneath the waves. We will then resume our journey towards Tomate Cove, where the volcanic formations of Punta de Los Frailes await for you to admire.

After our exploration at this picturesque location, we will begin retracing our route back to the starting point, concluding the activity.

Potential Changes to the Meeting Point

Provided that the weather is conducive, we’ll kick off the activity from San José Beach. In the event of poor weather conditions, we may shift to an alternative nearby site, such as La Fabriquilla Beach or Cala del Cuervo in Las Negras. If such changes occur, we will notify you the day prior to your tour.

Requirements for Participation

Participants must be proficient swimmers and capable of independently paddling the kayak.This activity is not recommended for individuals with limited physical fitness, underlying health conditions, mobility difficulties, or for those who are pregnant.The maximum allowable weight per kayak is 260 kg (573 pounds), with a maximum capacity of 4 individuals per kayak.

Throughout the kayaking journey, we will capture images that will later be shared with you. Two weeks following your tour, a link will be provided for you to download these photographs at no additional cost, ensuring you have a beautiful keepsake from this memorable experience!
