On this excursion to the Massif de l'Estérel from Nice, you will enjoy the coastal landscapes of the south of France while traveling by train on a historic railway line.
Trip to Massif de l'Estérel by Train
We will meet at Nice Ville station at the designated time to board the train to the Massif de l'Estérel. You will travel along a historic railway line that dates back to the early 20th century, crossing the southern coast of France, including views of the Corniche d'Or and its ochre tones.
The train ride takes us through the section between Cannes and Fréjus, known as the Green Provence, the largest forest in France. During the route, you will see Cannes, the Lerins islands, and the Maures Massif.
Midway, we will disembark at Saint-Raphaël-Valescure station for a hiking route along the coast of the Corniche d'Or. This is an opportunity to admire the area's colorful rock formations and learn about World War II events near the beach of the Landing in Provence.
After a break for a picnic lunch with scenic views, we will continue to a viewpoint for an exceptional view of the Massif de l'Estérel. We will then take the train back to Nice, concluding the excursion after 10 hours of activity.
