On this excursion to the Massif de l'Estérel from Nice, you'll enjoy the coastal landscapes of the south of France, traveling by train on a historic railway line.
Trip to Massif de l'Estérel by Train
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Nice Ville station to board a train to the Massif de l'Estérel. The journey will follow a historic railway line from the early 20th century through the southern coast of France. You'll see landscapes including the Corniche d'Or and its ochre tones.
The train ride includes the section between Cannes and Fréjus, known as the Green Provence, the largest forest in France. We will pass through Cannes, view the Lerins islands, and the Maures Massif.
Midway through the trip, we will exit at Saint-Raphaël-Valescure station for a hiking route along the coast of the Corniche d'Or, where we will observe colorful rock formations and learn about World War II events at the beach of the Landing in Provence.
After a break for a picnic lunch with scenic views, we will continue to a viewpoint for an unbeatable view of the Massif de l'Estérel.
Finally, we'll return by train to Nice, concluding the excursion after 10 hours of activity.
