Day Trip Details
Your experience begins with pickup from your hotel in Caviahue, proceeding northeast toward Copahue.
A brief stop will take place at the Mirador de Caviahue to admire the Copahue Volcano and lake.
Continuing for approximately 30 minutes, you'll reach Las Máquinas, where you can wander among fumaroles and boiling springs. The area's name comes from the resemblance of the sounds from the Earth to steam engines.
The trip includes a visit to the old Bustillo Inn, where you'll see the remains of South America's first geothermal power plant and discuss its history.
Next, you'll head to the village of Copahue to see Agua de Limón, a natural hot water spring. To conclude, you will have 45 minutes of free time at Callos Lagoon in Copahue's Thermal Complex to enjoy the warm waters.
Finally, the return to Caviahue will conclude the trip with drop-off at your hotel after a total duration of 4 hours.
