Description

At the designated time, we'll meet at the meeting point in Caviahue or Copahue before starting this 4x4 tour through the Hualcupén Valley. An exciting route, surrounded by intriguing volcanic landscapes, awaits us!

Once in the off-road vehicle, we enter the Hualcupén Valley and embark on an 8-kilometre (4.9-mile) drive along Ruta 26. Our first stop is the Hualcupén Lagoon, an area surrounded by volcanic sand and a forest of araucarias. This natural spectacle is remarkable.

Next, we continue towards the Las Lecheras Valley, located another 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) away. Here we will explore a Valdivian forest with ancient araucaria trees that hold much history, and we will explain the local flora and fauna.

In the valley, we'll meet Margarita, a member of a Mapuche community, who will welcome us with traditional food. We will enjoy fried cakes, homemade bread, and tea while learning more about the customs and traditions of the Mapuche people.

The 4x4 excursion through the Hualcupén Valley ends with a return to Copahue or Caviahue after 5 hours.
