Riscos Bayos Hike

On this hiking tour of Riscos Bayos, we'll explore the unique ignimbrites, rock formations in the Neuquen region.

Hike Details

After picking you up from your hotel, we’ll head to the southwest of the Caviahue Caldera, specifically to Cajón de Hualcupén, to witness the impressive Riscos Bayos.

Following a 30-minute journey, we’ll arrive at the entrance to the Riscos Bayos private site, where we will gather hiking poles and start our trek through the rock formations shaped by nature. These ignimbrites have been created over millions of years by volcanic eruptions, showcasing various columns, pillars, and spires.

As we walk several kilometres, we will admire the surrounding plain and make stops at strategic points for photos and rest. This site is recognized as an ideal space for meditation, perfect for contemplation and self-reflection.

Our final stop will be at one of the park's most intriguing locations, where we’ll discuss the unique terrain and history while enjoying a hot drink and admiring a sunset over Riscos Bayos.

We will conclude our tour at your hotel after a total of 4 hours.
