Visit to Casa Nepeta Distillery

On this visit to the Casa Nepeta Distillery, we will have a tasting of herbal spirits and you can participate in either a truffle hunting or a botanical printing workshop.

Tour Options

During the booking process, you can choose between the following options, both beginning at Casa Nepeta, a 15-minute drive from Noto, lasting between 2.5 to 3 hours.

Distillery Visit + Botanical Printing

The experience starts with a 2-hour botanical printing workshop. You will gather leaves and plants cultivated on the estate for creating prints. Using a chalcography press and manual contact printing techniques, you can create a small fabric tapestry or prints on paper to keep as souvenirs.

Afterward, we will explore the organic aromatic herb fields in the distillery, discussing the properties of various herbs used in making the spirits. You'll have the chance to interact with the herbs before concluding with a tasting of the distillery's herbal spirits, which can be paired with local products.

Distillery Visit + Truffle Hunting

This option involves searching for truffles, including bianchetto truffles and black truffles, with a truffle expert and trained dogs for 2 hours. You may purchase any truffles collected.

After the truffle hunt, we will return to the distillery to taste a local herbal spirit or try a frozen Nepeta Spritz. Regional products can also be sampled with truffle shavings. This will be followed by a visit to the aromatic herb fields.
