Cihuatán and Tesak Museum Tour

On this tour to Cihuatán, you'll visit one of the largest archaeological sites in El Salvador and learn about the country's different cultures and ethnicities.

Itinerary

We'll pick you up from your hotel in San Salvador at the indicated time and head north to the Pablo Tesak Museum and Cultural Centre. This journey lasts approximately 30 minutes.

At the museum, you'll experience various archaeological pieces that provide insights into El Salvador's past. Our next destination is Cihuatán.

Upon arrival at this archaeological site, you'll see a Maya pyramid that is over 3,000 years old. While exploring the ruins, you'll learn about the pre-Hispanic culture and the reasons behind Cihuatán's abandonment. Notable features include an old market, a games field, and ceremonial buildings. After the visit, we'll return to the minibus and drop you back at your hotel 5.5 hours later.
