Gulf of Fonseca 2-Day Tour

Day 1

We'll meet first thing in the morning to begin our 2-day tour of the Gulf of Fonseca, which is a protected area in the Pacific Ocean. Our first stop will be the volcano of Conchagua, where you'll have panoramic views of the country. You can substitute this visit for a trip to Las Tunas Beach if preferred. The tour includes a guided tour of the town of Conchagua, where you can visit an old church and a local market known for pupusas. We'll then travel to La Union for an overnight stay.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will head to the Central American Port of La Union to board a boat to island of Meanguera, where we'll spend around half an hour exploring. Next, we will visit Zacatillo for approximately two hours. There, you can enjoy local gastronomy and have free time to explore. We'll then move on to Isla Conejo before returning to the port of La Union and heading back to San Salvador, concluding the tour.

Accommodation

The tour includes one night's accommodation at the 4-star Comfort Inn Hotel and breakfast on the second day.

Pickup

This tour includes pickup from hotels in San Salvador and El Tunco. You can select the pickup area at the time of booking. If you choose pickup from El Tunco, the pickup will occur 40 minutes before the indicated time.
