San Salvador Layover Tour
We will meet you at the arrivals bridge at the El Salvador International Airport and proceed to San Salvador for a guided tour of the city.
Our first stop will be the Armed Forces Military Museum, featuring 14 rooms and over 35,000 artefacts including canons, coins, and helicopters that illustrate the city's history.
Next, we will walk through the city centre, visiting Libertad Square, the oldest square in the city, followed by Rosario Church with its unique design by artist Rubén Martínez. We will also explore Plaza Morazan, Plaza Barrios, and the new National Library (admission subject to authorities), among other notable locations in the renovated capital.
We will then proceed to the Monseñor Romero memorial, significant for promoting peace in the country during the 80s.
A panoramic tour will follow, showcasing the capital's skyline, including Plaza Salvador del Mundo and the Zona Rosa neighborhood. We will conclude with a stop at a local restaurant for a dish of pupusas, a local delicacy.
Finally, we will return to the airport, with an estimated duration of 4-6 hours total, depending on your layover duration.
