Santa Ana Volcano Hike

The tour begins with a pickup from your selected meeting point in San Salvador and proceeds to a national park area with lakes and volcanoes. You will encounter the Santa Ana Volcano or Llamatepec, which rises 7,812 feet above sea level.

After a one and a half hour journey to the foot of the volcano, the trek begins to El Salvador's third highest point. Along the path, you will experience stunning panoramic viewpoints of the landscapes.

At the summit, learn about the volcano's geology, dating back two million years, and observe the magnificent crater and the green lagoon within. You will also enjoy views of Coatepeque Lake, and the volcanoes of Izalco and Cerro Verde, with the Pacific Ocean in the background.

After the hike, you will return to your meeting point in San Salvador.

If you prefer hotel pickup in San Salvador, a supplemental fee of 10USD per person applies, payable in cash on the tour day. For pickups at accommodations in Tunco, the fee is 20USD per person.
