Suchitoto Trip
After pickup from your selected meeting point in San Salvador, we will journey to a national park area with lakes and volcanoes. You will see the Santa Ana Volcano, also known as Llamatepec, which rises 7,812 feet above sea level, before heading to Suchitoto, the "City of the Flower Bird." After a one-hour drive, you will admire the 18th-century buildings that attract many tourists.
As we stroll through the cobbled streets, it will seem as if time has stood still since the colonial era. We will enter one of the most important historical buildings in the city: the church of Santa Lucia.
You will learn about Suchitoto's founding by the indigenous Pipil people, who settled in the area in the 11th century. Their cultural heritage is reflected in the artisan shops and art galleries that adorn the village.
At the end of the visit, we will return to our meeting point in San Salvador.
