Ría Arousa Boat Trip + Seafood Dinner + Queimada Celebration
At the appointed time we'll meet at the port of El Grove to board a catamaran to sail the waters of the Arosa estuary. We will set sail as the sun sets and find a spot to watch the sunset in Galicia. Afterwards, we'll enjoy a seafood dinner paired with Albariño wine.
The menu includes a Galician pie, a crab, a crayfish, four langoustines, four prawns, cockles, and mussels. Alternatively, a non-seafood menu with grilled meat is available. For dessert, a slice of traditional Santiago cake is served. If children are part of the group, seafood will be replaced with pizza or a chicken fillet with potatoes.
After dinner, we will have the 'queimada' accompanied by a witchcraft ritual. The 'queimada' is an alcoholic punch made from Galician aguardente, flavored with herbs or coffee, sugar, lemon peel, coffee beans, and cinnamon, and aims to ward off bad spirits. Following the incantation, we will sail back to the port of El Grove, concluding the two-hour boat trip.
