Ría Arousa Boat Trip + Seafood Dinner + Queimada Celebration
At the appointed time we'll meet at the port of El Grove to board a catamaran to sail the waters of the Arosa estuary. We will set sail as the sun begins to set, finding a spot to watch a spectacular sunset. Afterwards, we will enjoy a seafood dinner paired with Albariño wine.
The menu includes a Galician pie, a crab, a crayfish, four langoustines, four prawns, cockles, and mussels. An option without seafood is available, featuring tasty grilled meat. For dessert, there will be a slice of traditional Santiago cake. For children, the seafood will be replaced with pizza or a chicken fillet with potatoes.
After dinner, we will enjoy 'queimada', an alcoholic punch made from Galician aguardente, flavored with special herbs, sugar, lemon peel, coffee beans, and cinnamon, accompanied by a witchcraft ritual to ward off bad spirits. After the incantation, we'll sail back to the port of El Grove, concluding the two-hour boat trip.
