Lake Tota Day Trip

On this day trip to Lake Tota, we'll visit the inland sea of Boyaca to explore the surrounding villages.

Description

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Tunja to begin our adventure to Lake Tota, known as the inland sea of Boyaca. We will pause in the town of Paipa to enjoy Colombian coffee, cheese, and an almojábana bread roll. Then, we will proceed to Aquitania for a boat ride on Lake Tota, Colombia's largest lake.

During the trip, we'll visit San Pedro Island for its scenery before returning to Aquitania. We will have a traditional lunch that includes an appetizer, fresh lake trout, and a beverage.

After lunch, we'll tour the Customs Museum of Aquitania for folkloric exhibitions and visit the villages around Lake Tota, starting with Iza to sample its signature dessert. Next, we'll continue to Cuitiva and Tibasosa, where we will taste feijoa sabajón, a popular traditional liqueur.

We will return to your hotel in Tunja approximately 10 hours after pickup.
