Towns of Ricaurte Alto Tour

Beautiful towns like Ráquira and Villa de Leyva await you on this tour of the towns of Ricaurte Alto, one of the most beautiful provinces in the department of Boyacá.

Highlights

After being collected from your hotel in Tunja at the scheduled time, we will head west towards Ricaurte Alto, known for its geological heritage and picturesque towns.

The journey will take us through a vast semi-desert landscape to our first stop in the town of Sáchica, where we can enjoy Colombian coffee and visit a small Archaeological and Cultural Museum.

Next, we will continue to the Sutamarchán municipality, where a traditional lunch will be served, including a starter, a main course of fish or meat, and a drink. After lunch, we will proceed to Tinjacá, noted for having one of the best climates in Colombia.

Our following stop will be in Ráquira, where we will see the gigantic Mano del Artesano and the colorful houses. Afterwards, we will visit Villa de Leyva, stopping at the charming Plaza Mayor and the Fossil Museum, where we will learn about the paleontological heritage of Ricaurte Alto.

You will be brought back to your hotel in Tunja, 10 hours after pickup.
