Cambodian Cooking Class in Phnom Penh

After being picked up from your hotel in a tuk tuk, you will visit a traditional Cambodian market in the heart of Phnom Penh. Your English-speaking guide will assist you in choosing the best produce for the recipes you'll prepare. Cambodian cuisine emphasizes fresh, natural products like rice and vegetables.

Once you have your ingredients, you will proceed to a nearby kitchen for your Cambodian cooking class. Under the guidance of your instructor, you will create traditional dishes like lok lak, a spiced beef dish influenced by French colonial heritage, as well as Khmer curry and amok, a fish dish steamed in banana leaves.

After cooking, you will taste the local food you have prepared. Following the meal, you will be taken back to your hotel by tuk tuk.

Important information

The Cambodian recipes vary by season, but you will prepare and taste starters, one or two main dishes, and a dessert, all made with local ingredients sourced from the market in Phnom Penh.
