Phnom Penh Two-Day Private Tour
Day 1
Your private tour of Phnom Penh begins with hotel pickup. The first stop is the Royal Palace, the current residence of the King of Cambodia. Highlights include the Silver Pagoda, adorned with 5000 silver tiles and housing significant national treasures like the "Emerald Buddha" and a gold Buddha.
Next, visit the National Museum, Cambodia's main history and archaeology museum, followed by lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, travel to Silk Island or Koh Dach for a river cruise of about 10 miles (15 km) to observe the hand-woven silk production.
The day concludes with drop-off at your hotel around 5 pm.
Day 2
After morning pickup, visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21), a former torture center that documents the Cambodian genocide, with only 12 known survivors from an estimated 17,000 prisoners.
Proceed to the Choeung Ek Memorial, known as "The Killing Fields," where over a million victims were executed during the Khmer Rouge regime.
After lunch at a local restaurant, visit Wat Ounalom and Wat Phnom, significant Buddhist temples, and conclude at the Russian Market for shopping. The tour ends back at your hotel around 5 pm.
