Description

We will pick you up from your hotel in Phnom Penh at the scheduled time using tuk-tuks for the tour of Silk Island. We will begin by boarding a ferry for a short trip across the Mekong River. Upon arrival, we will embark on our tuk-tuk journey, traveling through rice and vegetable fields and visiting a large local open-air market.

Next, we will visit a local family’s home to learn about the history of silk weaving in Cambodia, a tradition passed down through generations. Participants will gain insights into the main techniques, including the breeding of mulberry worms and the hand weaving of fabrics on centuries-old looms. An aperitif with various fruits and snacks will enhance the experience.

The total duration of the tour is 4.5 hours, concluding at the original starting point.
