Description

At the indicated time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Phnom Penh in tuk-tuks for the tour of Silk Island. We will board a ferry that will take us across the Mekong River to our destination. Once there, we will tour the island, visiting rice and vegetable fields and the local open-air market.

We will visit the home of a local family to learn about the history of silk weaving in Cambodia. The tour will cover the main techniques, including the breeding of mulberry worms and the manufacturing and hand weaving of fabrics on centuries-old looms. Participants will enjoy an aperitif with fruits and snacks during the experience. The total duration of the activity is 4.5 hours, concluding at the starting point.
