Day Trip Details

At the arranged time, transportation will be provided from your hotel in Phnom Penh in an air-conditioned vehicle, heading northwest towards Wat Vipassana Dkurak, located approximately 30 kilometers away. En route, a stop will be made at the Cham village, known as the center of Cambodia’s Muslim community.

After gaining insights into the Cham people’s traditions, the journey will proceed to Wat Vipassana Dkurak, recognized as one of Cambodia’s most impressive temples. The history behind the establishment of this Buddhist sanctuary and the number of yearly worshippers will be explored together.

From Wat Vipassana Dkurak, an additional journey will take us to Udong, where a picnic lunch will be provided to recharge for the next phase of the visit to several of the town’s remarkable temples.

In Udong, you will find three significant stupas that contain the ashes of ancient kings. These monuments will be visited, and intriguing tales from their history will be shared. A stop will also be made at the Vihara of the 18-Cubit Buddha, a site that, although nearly destroyed in previous conflicts, remains a significant attraction in Udong.

Finally, on the return journey to Phnom Penh, a detour will be taken to Kompong Luong to discover the town’s traditional crafts, showcasing unique handmade items that are sure to impress.
