Ria Formosa Cruise

At 2.30 pm, we'll meet at Dr. César Oliveira de Fuzeta Avenue to board the boat for a cruise along the Ria Formosa. We will sail around the Ria Formosa Natural Park, observing its small fishing villages and diverse wildlife and vegetation. Over 20,000 birds inhabit this park, and we will aim to spot some unique species during our journey.

The wetlands will lead us to the island of Armona, where we will have half an hour of free time to explore. You can take this opportunity to enjoy the local beaches or sample the cuisine.

Afterward, we will reconvene to continue sailing along the estuary, where we will learn about the significance of shellfishing in the area, including some oyster farms.

Our boat tour of the Ría Formosa islands will conclude back at the departure point at 4.30 pm.
