Workshop Overview
We will gather at the appointed hour at Armas Square in Ollantaytambo, located just in front of the Town Hall. Following a brief orientation and overview of the workshop, we will embark on our explorative journey.
The initial phase of the workshop involves a photographic journey through the charming cobblestone streets and enchanting landscapes of Ollantaytambo, allowing you to witness Inca architecture in its natural context. Equipped with your cameras or smartphones, you'll grasp the manual functions of your devices while applying the three fundamental principles of documentary photography.
Next, we will visit Mamá Eusebia Chicha Bar, where you will observe how ancestral chicha is prepared—a drink revered by the Inca civilization. During this segment, we will discuss the history and traditions of the local Andean culture. Our focus will also shift to lighting techniques and interior photography.
As we proceed through the streets of Ollantaytambo, you'll enhance your photography skills by exploring varied perspectives and movements. Each corner of this village presents a unique opportunity to capture the vibrant essence of contemporary Andean culture.
By the conclusion of this 2-hour workshop, you will have mastered the manual settings of your mobile device or professional camera.
