Workshop Details
We will meet at the designated time at Ollantaytambo's Armas Square, in front of the Town Council. Following a brief presentation and introduction, we will begin our urban exploration.
The first part of the workshop features a photographic tour of the cobbled streets and mystic landscapes in Ollantaytambo, allowing you to appreciate Inca architecture in an everyday setting. You will learn to manually operate your devices and apply the 3 basic rules of documentary photography.
Next, at the Mamá Eusebia Chicha Bar, the preparation process of ancestral chicha will be demonstrated, along with discussions about local Andean culture's history and tradition. This segment will also focus on lighting and photographing interiors.
We will continue through the streets of Ollantaytambo to refine your photography skills, exploring different perspectives and movements. Each corner will present new opportunities to capture the essence of living Andean culture.
At the end of this 2-hour workshop, you will have learned to use the manual tools of your mobile device or professional camera, along with gaining an understanding of composition and documentary photographic design, basic photography rules, and the use of light, shadow, and perspective.
