Train to Machu Picchu

Ticket Options

During booking, you can select the type of train to Machu Picchu, which lasts approximately 1.5 hours. Both trains offer a cafeteria service on board.

Details of each train are as follows:

Expedition Train

The Expedition Train takes you to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu, along a spectacular railway route. Enjoy the Andean scenery through large windows during your ride.

Vistadome Train

With the Vistadome Train, experience a unique journey featuring scenic windows in the walls and ceilings. You'll also enjoy a cultural parade with traditional music and dance.

Mid-Way Stop

The 7:04 pm train makes a mid-way stop at Avenida Imperio de los Inkas in Machu Picchu, which is not the main stop.

Limited Availability

Trains to Machu Picchu have very limited availability. We recommend booking in advance. If your selected option is unavailable, we offer equivalent services: Voyager for Expedition and 360 for Vistadome, following similar routes and schedules.

Official tickets will be sent 48 hours before the train departs, allowing you to board the trains.
