When making your booking, you'll be able to choose which train you'd like to take for your journey from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu. You can check out the details of both trains below:

Expedition train

The Expedition train will take you to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. The journey lasts 1 hour 30 minutes, along one of the most spectacular railway routes in the world.

Vistadome train

If you choose the Vistadome train, you'll travel to Machu Picchu in a unique way. The carriages feature panoramic windows, allowing you to feel immersed in the landscape. A recorded commentary will provide fascinating details about the places you will see during the journey.

Alternate Stop

Please note that if you opt for the Expedition or Vistadome train departing at 5:05 am, 12:55 pm, or 7:04 pm, the train will not drop you off at Aguas Calientes station. Instead, you will arrive at Avenida Imperio de los Inkas station, a 5-minute walk from Aguas Calientes station.

This activity takes place aboard one of the most popular trains in Peru, resulting in limited availability for tickets. We recommend booking your ticket as far in advance as possible. Once you've made your booking, we will send your official train tickets within 72 hours.
