Lipica & Skocjan Caves Day Trip

At 9 am we'll pick you up from your hotel in Opatija. We'll travel to Slovenia to visit Lipica and admire the famous Lipizzan horses.

First, we'll visit a farm to learn about this horse breed and its significance to Slovenians, including their depiction on one of their coins. You'll see how Lipizzan horses are cared for and have the opportunity to get close to them.

Our next stop will be the Lipikum Museum, an excellent place to learn about dressage. Depending on the tour day, you may attend a live Lipizzan horse show.

Next, we'll go to the Skocjan Caves, formed along the Reka River. We'll explore this cave system and see the impressive stalactites and stalagmites, water rapids, and the Skocjan lakes. We will also view the largest underground canyon in the world.

Finally, we'll return to Opatija and drop you back at your hotel around 2 pm.
