Lipica & Skocjan Caves Day Trip

At 9 am we'll pick you up from your hotel in Opatija. We'll travel to Slovenia to visit Lipica and admire the famous Lipizzan horses.

First, we'll visit a farm to learn about this horse breed and their importance to Slovenians. You'll also be able to get close to them and pet them if you wish.

Our next stop will be the Lipikum Museum, where you can learn about the intricacies of dressage. Depending on the day of the tour, you might attend a live Lipizzan horse show.

Next, we'll head to the Skocjan Caves, grottos formed along the Reka River. We'll explore this Slovenian cave system and admire impressive stalactites and stalagmites, water rapids, and the beautiful Skocjan lakes. You will see the largest underground canyon in the world.

Lastly, we'll return to Opatija and drop you back at your hotel at approximately 2 pm.
