Lipica & Skocjan Caves Day Trip

At 9 am, hotel pickup in Opatija will commence. We will travel from Croatia to Slovenia to visit Lipica and see the famous Lipizzan horses.

Our first stop is at a farm to learn about this horse breed and its significance to Slovenians, as they are depicted on one of their coins. Information on the daily care of Lipizzan horses will be provided, and you may have the opportunity to interact with them.

Next, we will visit the Lipikum Museum, which offers insights into the art of dressage. On select days, a live Lipizzan horse show may be available for attendees.

We will then proceed to the Skocjan Caves, a cave system shaped by the Reka River. Here, we will explore impressive stalactites and stalagmites, along with water rapids and the scenic Skocjan lakes. The largest underground canyon in the world will also be observed.

The return to Opatija will occur around 2 pm, with drop-off at your hotel.
