Lipica & Skocjan Caves Day Trip

At 9 am we'll pick you up from your hotel in Opatija. We'll leave Croatia and travel to Slovenia to visit Lipica and admire the famous Lipizzan horses.

First, we'll visit a farm to learn about this horse breed and their significance in Slovenian culture. Lipizzan horses are even featured on one of their coins. You'll discover how they are cared for daily and have the opportunity to get close to them.

Our next stop will be the Lipikum Museum, which focuses on the intricacies of dressage. Depending on the day of the tour, you may also attend a live Lipizzan horse show.

Then, we'll proceed to the Skocjan Caves, a cave system formed along the Reka River. During this visit, you'll admire the impressive stalactites, stalagmites, water rapids, and the Skocjan lakes. The tour will also include a view of the largest underground canyon in the world.

Finally, we'll return to Opatija and drop you off at your hotel at approximately 2 pm.
