Let's cross over to Slovenia and visit the Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle. You'll explore significant karst caves and the largest castle built within a cave.

Postojna Cave & Predjama Castle Excursion

We will pick you up from your hotel in Opatija at 9 am and drive to the Postojna Cave.

After an hour and a half, we will reach the most famous karst cave in Europe. The visit to the Postojna Cave includes views of impressive rock formations, including stalagmites reaching 5 meters long.

We will continue exploring the cave on a train that provides access to areas not reachable on foot. During this ride, we will see Murano glass chandeliers, a ballroom, and olms, known as the 'dragon's offspring'.

Next, we will visit Predjama Castle, a unique fortress situated over a cliff 120 meters high and the only cave castle in Europe still standing. We will enter the fortress to explore its various rooms and hear stories about the legend of Erasmus of Predjama, the Slovenian Robin Hood.

At the end of the guided tour, we will return to the minibus and head back to Opatija, dropping you off at your hotel around 4 pm.
