Postojna Cave & Predjama Castle Excursion

Pickup from your hotel in Opatija is scheduled for 9 am, followed by a drive towards Slovenia to the Postojna Cave.

After an hour and a half, we will arrive at the most famous karst cave in Europe. This visit will highlight why it is renowned as we enter the Postojna Cave, featuring remarkable rock formations including 5-meter long stalagmites.

Exploration continues on a little train that takes us through areas not accessible on foot, where we will see Murano glass chandeliers, a ballroom, and olms, often referred to as the 'dragon's offspring'.

Our next destination is Predjama Castle, uniquely positioned on a cliff over 120 meters high. It is the only cave castle in Europe still standing.

During our visit to the fortress, we will explore various rooms while learning about its history, including the tale of Erasmus of Predjama, the Slovenian Robin Hood.

Following the guided tour, we'll return to the minibus and head back to Opatija, with an estimated drop-off at your hotel around 4 pm.
