Castellón de la Plana Day Trip

At 9:10 am we'll meet at the Oropesa del Mar Tourist Office and board a minibus to Castellón de la Plana. The journey will take about 20 minutes.

Upon arrival, we'll start by visiting the Grao de Castellón, enjoying the beautiful coast and its long stretches of golden sand. We will also see the fishing port, marina, lighthouse, and various modernist houses.

Next, we'll walk through the historic centre and arrive at the Museum of Fine Arts, where we will admire its facade and enter the interior to see sculptures, Valencian ceramics, and several paintings from Zurbarán's workshop.

We will then visit the Market, only open on Mondays, hosting over 300 stalls selling food, clothes, and various products.

The tour will continue exploring the main monuments of Castellón de la Plana, including the façade of Santa María la Mayor cathedral, El Fadrí bell tower, the theatre, and the Central Market. Throughout the tour, our guide will provide information about the city's buildings and history. The bell tower is protected as an Asset of Cultural Interest.

We will finish the tour at 1:30 pm, returning to Oropesa del Mar.
