Excursión a Villafamés desde Oropesa de Mar

Did you know that Villafamés is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain? Come to this beautiful area of the province of Castellón and discover its monuments and incredible scenery.

Villafamés Day Trip

At 3:30 pm, we'll meet outside the Oropesa del Mar Tourist Office. For 30 minutes, we will travel in a minibus to Villafamés.

Upon arrival, we will start our guided tour of the historic centre of the village, which is a Site of Cultural Interest. As we explore, we will discuss the historical significance of the town's location on a hill.

We will see the façade of the church of La Asunción, typical stone houses, and a castle from the Muslim period. You can learn more about the history of these structures during the tour.

Next, we will visit the Roca Grossa, a large stone formation surrounded by mystery. You will have the opportunity to make three wishes, as per legend, though only one will be granted. We will share related myths during this part of the tour.

Our last stop will be the Museum of Contemporary Art of Villafamés, located in Batlle Palace, showcasing various artistic trends from the 1920s to present. This will conclude our excursion.

The tour will end at 7:30 pm with a drop-off at Oropesa del Mar.
