Excursión a Villafamés desde Oropesa de Mar

Did you know that Villafamés is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain? Come to this area of the province of Castellón and discover its monuments and scenery.

Villafamés Day Trip

At 3:30 pm, we'll meet outside the Oropesa del Mar Tourist Office to start the trip. We'll travel for 30 minutes by minibus to Villafamés.

Upon arrival, we will begin a guided tour of the historic centre of the village, designated a Site of Cultural Interest. The strategic location atop a hill has shaped its history.

We will see the façade of the church of La Asunción, characteristic stone houses, and the castle dating back to the era of Muslim rule.

Next, we will visit the Roca Grossa, a significant stone mass surrounded by mystery, where you can make three wishes, though legend says only one will be granted. Myths regarding this natural monument will be shared during the tour.

The final stop will be at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Villafamés in the Batlle Palace, featuring various art pieces from the 1920s to the present.

We will conclude the tour at 7:30 pm, returning you to Oropesa del Mar.
