Maestrazgo Mining Park & Culla Excursion

At 8:45 am, we'll pick you up at the Oropesa del Mar Tourist Office and board a minibus to the Maestrazgo Mining Park, an underground site in the region of Alto Maestrazgo.

Upon arrival, we'll board a mining train to the entrance of the Victoria mine. Safety helmets will be provided for the exploration of this underground gallery.

Explanatory videos along the route will inform you about the working conditions of miners in the past, the minerals extracted, and the tools used, some of which are displayed in the mines.

Next, we'll visit the Esperanza mine, discussing the natural conditions of the galleries, including stalactites, shafts, and root systems.

We will then head to Culla, once under the Order of the Temple. A guided tour will cover the town's history as we walk through its cobbled streets and visit main monuments such as the 11th-century Arab castle, the Granero del Comendador, and the old hospital.

Finally, we will return to Oropesa del Mar by minibus, arriving at approximately 1:45 pm.
