Morella Day Trip

The medieval charm of one of the most beautiful towns in Spain awaits on our Morella Day Trip. We'll set off from Oropesa del Mar and explore its artistic and cultural heritage.

At 9:15 am, we'll meet at the Oropesa del Mar Tourist Office and board our minibus to Morella, located 71 miles (115 kilometers) away.

Morella is renowned for its beauty. We will pass through the San Miguel Gate and enter the old quarter.

Stately mansions, stone arches, and cobbled streets characterize Morella, which boasts a rich history. As we explore its historic center, we will discuss its medieval heritage, highlighted by a mile-long (2-kilometer) city wall, 10 towers, and 7 gates.

At midday, you'll have free time to eat lunch and try local cuisine. Afterward, we will visit an artisanal honey shop in Morella.

Next, we will stop at the Morella Basilica, one of the prominent religious sites in the region, to admire its interior decorations.

We will also view the exterior of Morella Castle and learn about its history. You will then have 1 hour of free time to visit the castle, have lunch, or shop.

We will return to the minibus for the trip back to Oropesa del Mar, arriving at 7:15 pm.
