Morella Day Trip

The medieval charm of one of the most beautiful towns in Spain awaits on our Morella Day Trip. We'll set off from Oropesa del Mar and explore its artistic and cultural heritage.

At 9:15 am, we'll meet at the Oropesa del Mar Tourist Office and board our minibus to set off for Morella, located 71 miles (115 kilometers) away.

Morella is known for its beauty; we will see the San Miguel Gate and proceed to the town's old quarter.

Morella is characterized by stately mansions, stone arches, and cobbled streets. As we walk through its historic center, we will discuss its medieval heritage, represented by its mile-long (2-kilometer) city walls, 10 towers, and 7 gates.

At midday, there will be free time for lunch and to sample the local cuisine. After lunch, we will visit an artisanal honey shop.

Next, we will see the Morella Basilica, a prominent religious structure in the region, known for its decorations.

We will also explore the exterior of Morella Castle and learn about its history. Following this, you will have 1 hour of free time for a castle visit, lunch, or shopping.

Finally, we will return to Oropesa del Mar, arriving at 7:15 pm.
