Traiguera & Cervera del Maestre Day Trip

This day trip from Oropesa del Mar includes visits to Historic battles, ancient olive trees, and a religious complex from the reign of Charles V. Participants will meet at 9 am in front of the Tourist Office located in Plaza París and embark on a 1-hour bus ride to Traiguera.

Upon arrival in Traiguera, guests will explore an estate with thousand-year-old olive groves and learn about the cultivation and production of Traiguera's olive oil. A tasting of the olive oil will be offered, accompanied by a selection of cold meats.

The trip continues to Cervera del Maestre, where participants will walk through cobbled streets and visit the Oil Mill Visitor Centre. Key sites include the old medieval fish market, the Church of the Assumption, and the Cervera del Maestre Castle, which played a defensive role during Spain's Reconquista period.

After the tour, the group will return to Traiguera to visit the Royal Sanctuary of the Virgen María de la Font de la Salud. The tour includes a discussion on the site's history dating back to the reign of Charles V, encompassing the guest house, priests' house, kitchen, and hermitage.

The day trip concludes at 2:30 pm, returning to the starting point.
