Traiguera & Cervera del Maestre Day Trip

Join us to explore the villages around Oropesa del Mar. We will meet at 9 am in front of the town's Tourist Office in Plaza París. After gathering, we'll board our bus for a 1-hour drive to Traiguera.

Upon arrival, we will visit an estate with thousand-year-old olive groves, learning about their cultivation. The oldest tree dates back to 971. We will also see how Traiguera's olive oil is produced and enjoy a tasting alongside a selection of cold meats.

Next, we will head to Cervera del Maestre, strolling through its cobbled streets and visiting the Oil Mill Visitor Centre along with iconic monuments such as the old medieval fish market, the Church of the Assumption, and Cervera del Maestre Castle. We will discuss the fortress' role during Spain's Reconquista period.

After our guided tour, we will return to Traiguera to visit the Royal Sanctuary of the Virgen María de la Font de la Salud, exploring its history dating back to the reign of Charles V, including the guest house, priests' house, kitchen, and hermitage.

We will conclude our day trip at 2:30 pm back at the starting point.
