Did you know that Villafamés is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain? Come to this area of Castellón and discover its monuments and scenery.

Villafamés Day Trip

At 3:30 pm, we'll meet outside the Oropesa del Mar Tourist Office to start the trip. We will travel for 30 minutes onboard a minibus to Villafamés.

Upon arrival, we will begin a guided tour of the historic centre of the village, declared a Site of Cultural Interest. We will explain how its strategic location on a hill has influenced its history.

We will view the façade of the church of La Asunción, the characteristic stone houses, and the castle dating back to the time of Muslim rule. You will learn about the history of these buildings.

Next, we will visit the Roca Grossa, a large stone formation full of mystery. You will make three wishes, but legend states only one will be granted. We will share the myths related to this natural monument.

The last stop will be at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Villafamés, in the Batlle Palace. Here, we will see numerous works of art from the 1920s to the present.

We will conclude the tour at 7:30 pm by returning you to Oropesa del Mar.
