Embark on a journey to Ephesus and experience one of the most remarkable preserved sites from antiquity on the Asia Minor peninsula. The itinerary also includes visits to the House of the Virgin Mary and the Isa Bey Mosque.
Day Trip Overview
Your adventure begins with a collection from your accommodation in Dalaman at the specified time, followed by a northwest drive towards Ephesus. After approximately four hours, we will reach our destination and commence a guided exploration of one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman cities in Turkey.
As we traverse the pathways of Ephesus, we will take in the sights of remarkable landmarks such as the Temple of Hadrian, dedicated to the revered Roman emperor, and the renowned Library of Celsus, which served as one of the grandest libraries of the Roman Empire in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Next, we will visit the Roman Theater, a highlight of the site renowned for its grandeur. This monumental theater, designed in a horseshoe shape and adorned with numerous elements from the Hellenistic era, accommodated up to 25,000 spectators!
Following our exploration of Ephesus, we'll stop at a local dining establishment to enjoy a savory Turkish meal. With renewed energy, the group will proceed to the Isa Bey Mosque, notable for being one of the earliest architectural masterpieces from the Anatolian beyliks.
Our final destination will lead us to the House of the Virgin Mary, the location where St. John is believed to have taken Mary following the crucifixion of Jesus.
Upon completing the tour, you will be transported back to your hotel, concluding an approximate 12-hour experience.
