On this night tour of Gion, we'll discover Kyoto's historic geisha district with its charming wooden houses as night falls.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the corner of Kawaramachi Garden, in front of the big clock, to begin our night tour of Gion, the geisha quarter of Kyoto.

We'll enter the most authentic district of the country, welcomed by typical Japanese lanterns. We'll learn about their inscriptions and the culture of the streets of Gion.

Next, we'll walk along the busiest and most hidden streets, including the historic Hanamikoji Street. It will be enchanting to see the traditional wooden houses illuminated by dim lights. We will also pass by iconic places of worship, such as Yasaka Shrine.

On our way, we'll see maiko and geikos, apprentice geishas, as we admire their clothing's symbolism and colors.

Finally, we'll conclude our night tour at Sanj? ?hashi Bridge after 3 hours.
