Discover the old capital of Japan on this day trip to Kyoto from Osaka. Buddhist temples, gardens, imperial palaces, Shinto shrines, and much more await you!
Description
At 9 am, we will meet at the JR Namba OCAT 1F train station. The bus will take us to the city of Kyoto, with a ride duration of about 1 hour.
The first stop will be Fushimi Inari-Taisha, the main Shinto shrine in Kyoto. After exploring this temple, we will proceed to Kiyomizudera Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most iconic places of the ancient Japanese capital.
At around 1 pm, we will stop at a local restaurant for a traditional-style lunch, consisting of a rice dish with tofu and vegetable tempura.
After lunch, we will visit Kinkaku-ji, also known as the Golden Pavilion, which was once the residence of Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu.
Our last destination will be Arashiyama and its famous bamboo forest, where you can take pictures in its iconic winding paths. We will then return to Osaka, concluding the tour at 6:30 pm.
