Details of the Day Trip

Ahead of dawn, you will step aboard the bullet train departing from Osaka to Kyoto. Following a brief journey on this renowned high-speed train, you will arrive in the city once ruled as the imperial capital. Upon arrival, just outside the Hotel Keihan Kyoto Grande, your guide will greet you to commence this expedition by bus.

The first destination will be the renowned Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. By starting early, you will have the opportunity to wander through its pathways in a serene atmosphere, free from the hustle and bustle of the crowds.

Following this, the itinerary leads us to the Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji), a Zen temple that astounds with its reflective beauty in the adjacent pond. Next on our journey will be Nij? Castle, the historical residence of the shoguns where you can explore its tatami-clad chambers, exquisite gardens, and the intriguing "nightingale floors" that emit sounds beneath your steps.

The visit continues at the Kiyomizu-dera Temple, celebrated for its grand wooden terrace overlooking the mountains—providing breathtaking views of the city below. After this stop, you will enjoy some personal time in the nearby area, perfect for lunch and indulging in local culinary delights.

Your day will culminate with a visit to the Fushimi Inari-Taisha Shrine, renowned for its countless red torii gates ascending the hillside. Your guide will accompany you to this final location, providing relevant details for your return journey via local transportation back to Kyoto Station, from where you can board the bullet train to Osaka.

This tour will span approximately 12.5 hours.

Tour without tickets: This option includes round-trip bullet train tickets and a guided bus tour, but excludes entrance fees to the Golden Pavilion, Nijo Castle, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple, which can be purchased separately on the tour day for those wishing to visit these sites.Tour with tickets: This option includes bullet train tickets, a guided bus tour, and admission tickets to the Golden Pavilion, Nijo Castle, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple.

Please note that, due to factors beyond our control, access to the Nij? Castle may be limited or unavailable without prior notification. Should a visit to this monument be infeasible, it will be substituted with a visit to the Sanj?sangen-d? Temple.
