Excursion Overview
Our adventure begins at the prescribed meeting point, Hotel Hearton Nishiumeda, where a bus will await us for our trip to Kyoto. The ride will take around one hour.
Our initial visit will be to Fushimi Inari-Taisha, the principal Shinto shrine in Kyoto, renowned for its stunning architecture. From there, we will take a brief 15-minute stroll to Arashiyama, famous for its enchanting bamboo grove, which will transport you to a dream-like setting!
As midday approaches, if you opted for the meal plan, we'll pause at a local restaurant for a traditional lunch featuring a chicken dish.
After dining, we'll proceed to Kinkaku-ji, commonly referred to as the Golden Pavilion. It is fascinating to note that this temple was formerly the residence of Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu.
Our final destination will be the Kiyomizudera Temple, a collective of temples recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the standout attractions in Japan's historic capital.
We will then return to our original pickup location in Osaka, concluding approximately 9.5 hours of enriching sightseeing.
