Discover the old capital of Japan on this day trip to Kyoto from Osaka. Buddhist temples, gardens, imperial palaces, Shinto shrines, and much more await you!
Description
At 9 am, we'll meet at the JR Namba OCAT 1F train station. The bus will take us to the city of Kyoto, with a ride lasting about 1 hour.
The first stop will be Fushimi Inari-Taisha, the main Shinto shrine in Kyoto. After exploring this site, we'll proceed to Kiyomizudera Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most iconic places in the ancient capital.
At around 1 pm, we will stop at a local restaurant for a traditional-style lunch, featuring a rice dish with tofu and vegetable tempura.
After lunch, we will head to Kinkaku-ji, known as the Golden Pavilion, which was once the residence of Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu.
Our final destination will be Arashiyama and its famous bamboo forest. This area offers picturesque winding paths, perfect for photography.
Finally, we'll return to Osaka, concluding the tour at 6:30 pm.
