On this tour, we'll visit Nara, the first capital of Japan, and the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shinto sanctuary, known from the film "Memoirs of a Geisha".
Itinerary
After hotel pickup, we'll take the train to Inari to visit the Fushimi Inari Taisha Temple.
Fushimi Inari Taisha is a Shinto sanctuary dedicated to the deity Inari, associated with fertility, rice, agriculture, and business success. The temple features thousands of precious red torii gates leading up the hill, gaining fame from the film "Memoirs of A Geisha".
Next, we will visit Nara, the first capital of Japan (710-784). The itinerary includes two significant temples: Kofukuji, which has a notable pagoda, and Todaiji, recognized as the largest wooden structure in the world.
The tour will also encompass the expansive Nara Park, home to deer—considered ancient messengers of the Gods.
The tour concludes at the central station in Kyoto.
