On this tour, we'll visit Nara, the first capital of Japan, and the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shinto sanctuary, known for its appearance in "Memoirs of a Geisha".
Itinerary
After picking you up from your hotel, we'll take the train to Inari to visit the Fushimi Inari Taisha Temple.
Fushimi Inari Taisha is a Shinto sanctuary dedicated to the Deity Inari, associated with fertility, rice, agriculture, and business success. The temple features thousands of red torii gates leading up the hill, gaining global recognition through the film "Memoirs of A Geisha".
Next, we will head to Nara, the first capital of Japan (710-784). We will visit two significant temples from this era: Kofukuji, notable for its pagoda, and Todaiji, which is the largest wooden structure in the world.
The tour will also include a visit to Nara Park, home to deer, regarded as the ancient messengers of the Gods.
The tour will conclude at the central station in Kyoto.
