Nara Walking Tour
We'll meet at the Gyoki Bosatsu Statue to set off on our guided tour of Nara.
On our tour, we'll explore Nara's historic centre and discover a Buddhist pyramid that has similarities to Mayan temples. We'll also visit the house of a local merchant to gain insights into Japanese culture.
Participants will enjoy panoramic views of the city from the viewpoints on its hills and visit Nara Park to interact with its famous inhabitants: the deer, regarded as sacred divine messengers in Japan.
We will explore the spiritual side of Japan at the Kasuga Taisha Shrine and the Todaiji Temple, both recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Lastly, we will indulge in a traditional three-course Japanese meal and a drink. Our guided tour will conclude back at the meeting point, approximately 5 hours after starting.
