Why Attend a Sumo Training Session?
As the most iconic martial art in Japanese culture and Japan's national sport, sumo is one of the oldest forms of wrestling. The first recorded sumo fight dates back to 23 BC.
Witnessing a sumo wrestling match showcases thousands of years of tradition. It's fascinating to see the effort each wrestler puts in to avoid being knocked down. The ceremonial ritual before each fight and the mutual respect between wrestlers are also noteworthy.
