Explore the Norwegian capital's main sights in a fun and relaxed way on our Oslo Bike Tour. We'll learn about the history behind the beautiful fjords, buildings, and neighbourhoods we see.
Oslo Bike Tour
At 2 pm, we'll meet at 31 Akershusstranda in Oslo to start our bike tour. During the tour, our guide will discuss the history behind the monuments and share facts about present-day Norwegian culture and politics.
Our 7-mile (12-kilometre) route will begin with views of the fjord as we cycle through Grev Wedels Plass. We will stop at the medieval Akershus Fortress, which has stood for over 700 years, allowing time to explore its walls and take photos.
Next, we'll cycle to Karls Johans Gate, the main street in Oslo, where we will see significant sites like the National Theatre and the Royal Palace and its gardens.
The tour continues to the Frogner neighbourhood, known for its colourful buildings and the Vigeland Sculpture Park, which we will explore in detail, as well as the Vigeland Museum.
We will cycle through quiet streets towards the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art and the modern architecture of the harbour area around Aker Brygge, where we may have the opportunity to take a dip, depending on the weather.
We will conclude our tour at Skur 42, 31 Akershusstranda, three hours after our departure.
