Located near Oslo City Hall, Viking Planet offers a historical experience with innovative audiovisual technology. You can learn about the Vikings' identity, language, geographical reach, maritime and martial legacy, and their evolving beliefs. The museum has various rooms with distinct takes on Viking culture, featuring a 270-degree surround movie theater, lifelike holograms of actual Vikings, and three-dimensional replicas of ancient artifacts.

An exceptional aspect of The Viking Planet is its virtual reality experience, where you can board a Viking ship and engage with Viking life. This immersive experience has earned the museum the Best Virtual Reality Film award at the Aesthetica Film Festival in the U.K.
